Well I had the most fab Saturday last week! We went to see the amazing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre – post to come – but in between the two parts we visited Melanie Italian Restaurant which is nearby to the theatre!

As a large table of 14 people it was tricky to find an establishment which was happy to take a booking for such a number at prime time on a Saturday just before Christmas! We were worried, but didn’t need to be, as Melanie’s suited exactly what we needed.

Melanie Restaurant is a contemporary designed Napolitan restaurant in the heart of London. They serve traditional Italian dishes which uses locally sourced seasonal vegetables and meats.

I ordered the Tagliatelle di Siciliana and my friend ordered the Quatro Fromaggi pizza, which we decided to split and share between the two of us (I literally love doing this😂)

The whole restaurant was decorated in Christmas decorations, as well as having panettone boxes hanging from the ceiling – a real festive treat.

The food was delicious, the pasta was the perfect level of spice, and the presentation on the plate was beautiful, I love a large dish like this and especially for the price it was so reasonable and a large portion which left me feeling very full but not over stuffed! There was definitely space for dessert of course!

Would recommend especially for the reasonable price and fab location near to the theatre. Great for groups and also romantic enough for couples. They also catered for families as I noticed a family sat on the table behind us! The food also was served quite quickly, which suited us as we needed to head back to the theatre for the second part of the play!

Love, Maddie x
