Back on the brunch hype once again…
The cute little cafe is squeezed in amongst the houses built at Surrey Quays, and it’s absolutely adorable. The Plough Way Cafe is a cafe and restaurant with an abundance of character. The quirky decor is perfect and properly suits the area. We headed in for Sunday brunch and were surprised at how busy the cafe was!
Plough Way Cafe brings delicious home-cooked Italian food to the discerning residents of South East London.http://www.ploughwaycafe.com/
Using only the best ingredients, our menu features a wide selection of authentic & regional Italian dishes.
We are particularly proud of our home made pasta and 100% home made pizze romane.
I opted for Eggs Benedict, a classic Sunday option! It was served on a focaccia bread with ham and hollandaise sauce. The food came out to us quickly, lovely and hot and super fresh. I loved the cute dish it was served on – and it was so different to have the egg on a focaccia bread rather than a standard bread or bagel! Such a good idea to keep the cafe slightly different and exciting.
This is definitely somewhere I’d recommend, it’s a nice pit stop if you’re in the area, and the cute quirks really add to the appeal. The quality of the food was high and it was obviously really fresh ingredients that were used, such a nice surprise to stumble onto! Plus the staff were incredibly helpful, coping under the pressure of a full restaurant on a Sunday morning! Check it out!
